Chem-Trends neue Mono-Lube® Produkte reduzieren Herstellungskosten und steigern die Betriebseffizienz
Maisach, 28 July 2009 - Process-accompanying release agents are indispensable in the different stages implemented in the manufacturing of tyres. These agents ensure that rubber mixtures do not adhere to one another, prevent pockets of air from forming and facilitate the smooth removal of the tyre from the mould. Release agents have a significant influence on the quality and appearance of the manufactured tyres and can contribute to reducing the manufacturing costs, making the procedure generally more effective.
Chem-Trend has expanded its family of Mono-Lube® products and has collaborated closely with the tyre industry to develop a range of new release agents that are specially tailored to suit the needs of the industry.
Chem-Trend offers a new, efficient bladder coating with Mono-Lube® 111
Field studies have shown that bladders coated with Mono-Lube® 1111 last up to 40% longer and therefore do not require changing as frequently, resulting in significant cost savings. When stored at room temperature, Mono-Lube® 1111 cures to a robust, wear-resistant film within one hour and can be applied using various methods, including a brush, sponge or spray application.
New, efficient inside tyre spray solutions from the Mono-Lube® 3000 series
Chem-Trend is supplementing its existing family of products with a new, water-based, inside tyre spray solution named Mono-Lube® 3000. This solution uses a meticulously adjusted proportion of high-class raw materials to reduce the weight of the coating by around 30 percent compared with conventionally filled inside tyre spray solutions. Furthermore, Mono-Lube® 3000 reduces defects that have arisen by using its inside tyre spray solutions and also contributes to a definitely prolonged bladder service life.
By means of applied spraying, Mono-Lube® 300 offers good surface slip and a high ventilation capacity in the curing process, which is particularly advantageous in the manufacturing of Run-Flat and Ultra-High-Performance tyres. The reduced weight of the coating also contributes to the improved appearance of the tyres, in particular in the Premium Segment.
Chem-Trend offers a new "envelope" coating with Mono-Lube® 2006
In order to significantly extend the service life of "envelopes", Chem-Trend has developed a new, advanced coating together in the form of Mono-Lube® 2006.
With tyre retreading, an "envelope" can be used 40 to 60 times before it is replaced; this service life can be extended by between 33 and 100 percent with Mono-Lube® 2006. Therefore the number of "envelopes" required is reduced, raw materials are saved and operating efficiency is increased on the whole. In addition to the fact that cured tyres can be easily detached, Mono-Lube® 2006 also offers good surface slip, which enables the accurate positioning of the "envelope" over the tyre that next requires curing. Contrary to conventional coatings, Mono-Lube® 2006 has been developed in such a way that the "envelope" only requires one application of this during its entire service life. Mono-Lube® 2006 maintains its constant level of efficiency throughout the entire service life of an "envelope".
Water-based outside tyre spray solutions supplement the Mono-Lube® 6000 series from Chem-Trend
Following extensive product tests, Chem-Trend announces the introduction of its new generation of Mono-Lube® 6000 outside tyre spray solutions. This new water-based product was specially developed to improve the appearance of tyres. The key attributes of the Mono-Lube® 6000 series include good ventilation and rubber flow properties and faster drying times. MonoLube® 600 reduces debris in the mould and prevents the rubber mixtures from adhering to one another.
Chem-Trend's overall product line for the tyre industry also contains tyre cast release agents of the Mono-Coat® brand, in addition to inside tyre spray solutions, outside tyre spray solutions and bladder coatings. With respect to the increase in operating efficiency and the reduction in costs throughout the entire manufacturing process, Chem-Trend products are developed and manufactured in close cooperation with the end-users.
Mono-Lube® and Mono-Coat® are registered trademarks of Chem-Trend.
