In the context of climate protection ensuring the energy supply by means of environmentally friendly technologies and systems is becoming increasingly important. The SOLON-Mover, developed by SOLON AG, a leading manufacturer of solar modules and photovoltaic systems, is an automatic tracking system that aligns the solar modules of solar power stations to the current position of the sun. This ensures that the angle of the sunrays on the solar cells is always optimal. As a result, energy yield and cost effectiveness of solar power systems will be increased significantly.

Photovoltaic systems are designed to require little maintenance, being checked only once in a year under normal operation. To ensure reliable lubrication of the drive, which is based on power transfer by roller chains a durable, high-quality oil is required. Extensive tests performed by SOLON AG proved OKS 354 to be perfectly suitable for fulfilling these extreme requirements.

OKS 354 is a high-viscosity fully synthetic oil with the special high-pressure additive Mox-Active. This additive increases the wear protection decisively. OKS 354 adheres excellently and does not drip. Thanks to its excellent oxidation behaviour the product is suitable for long-term lubrication and is resistant to water and steam. OKS 354 can be used at temperatures of up to 250 °C.
