Robert Bosch GmbH recently awarded Klüber Lubrication with the "Preferred Supplier" status in the lubricating greases material group. The Preferred Supplier Program is part of Bosch’s supplier management, which is used for continuous supplier assessment. Bosch determines set criteria for selecting preferred suppliers of each material group.

The Bosch Group is a leading global supplier of technology and services, acting in the fields of automotive and industrial technology, consumer goods and building technology. Bosch uses speciality lubricants made by Klüber Lubrication e.g. for automotive or wind energy components, thermotechnology and pneumatics, in power tools and many other products. "Having a capable global supplier base is very important for Bosch", explains Philipp Storch, Corporate Sector Purchasing and Logistics Indirect Material and Services, Robert Bosch GmbH. "To meet future challenges in a competitive environment and to sustain Bosch’s innovative power, we will have to focus our activities on cooperation with suppliers we believe to be above-average in terms of competence and performance."

"We are very pleased to have achieved preferred supplier status at Robert Bosch GmbH", says Claus Langgartner, Speaker of the Board at Klüber Lubrication München KG. "We regard this as a testament to our outstanding partnership and as a motivation to do even more for Bosch in terms of high-performing, innovative speciality lubricants, customer-oriented consulting and comprehensive services."

The preferred supplier certificate for indirect materials, the category under which lubricants are grouped, was awarded for the first time this year. Supplier assessment is based, among other criteria, on certifications, quality-assurance guidelines, communication, consulting services, logistics and innovation.
