Maisach, 26 Jul 2011 - Greater growth potentials through new headquarters in Maisach

As of today OKS Spezialschmierstoffe GmbH is opening up a new chapter in its more than 30 years of company history. In July the market leader in manufacturing speciality lubricants and chemotechnical products for industrial maintenance, service and production completed moving the company headquarters to the new site in Maisach.

The improved production conditions, larger storage capacities, cutting-edge technical facilities and improved laboratory facilities at the new headquarters allow OKS to notably expand its development and production capacities. In addition OKS has the opportunity to concentrate its administration, development, production and logistics divisions under one roof through the relocation. Meaning that processes can be simplified and made more efficient and that the communications paths between individual functional divisions at OKS are reduced.

The new central location also offers improved cooperation opportunities with the specialised trade sector, for example for training courses of trade employees. In addition, flexible supply of the trade sector for example with fast moving products or special is now better possible nationally and internationally.

OKS's old headquarters in Munich-Moosach from its founding in 1978 was planned for a company size that the company has long exceeded. Individual sections such as the finished-products warehouse and dispatch had therefore already been outsourced years ago. The continuous growth in the company and the progressive internationalisation of its business made relocation to a more productive location with the corresponding technical and logistical facilities indispensable – because OKS is already servicing commercial users and industrial customers in more than 50 countries worldwide.

For 30 years OKS Spezialschmierstoffe GmbH has been active as a lubrication specialist operating worldwide. Through its dealers selling engineering supplies and mineral oils, OKS is able to reach both commercial users and industrial customers. Continuous training and instruction of trade partners ensures that excellent consulting support and problem-solving expertise is available for customers locally. Longevity and cost efficiency of the lubricants used are guaranteed thanks to a modern product spectrum and the continual expansion of the range of products.

OKS produces and sells around 150 standardised, high-performance products to reduce friction, wear and corrosion. The main field of use for OKS speciality lubricants and maintenance products is industrial maintenance, repair and operations.

The products developed by OKS engineers and technicians are produced at the company’s site under strict quality and environmental requirements. In order to expand its research and manufacturing capabilities the company relocated from Munich to Maisach mid of 2011. From this site worldwide distribution of OKS products is also carried out.

Since 2003 OKS Spezialschmierstoffe GmbH is owned by Freudenberg Chemical Specialities KG, part of the Freudenberg group of companies.
